Amann

Amann is a Thai artist who began painting graffiti in 2001. His early connection to street culture grew through his passion for skateboarding and punk music. It was through this world that he discovered graffiti and became deeply drawn to its energy, freedom, and visual language. His artistic universe is poetic, mysterious, and distinctive. Working on canvas, Amann has developed a personal universe that combines diverse media and materials, allowing each work to become an exploration of emotions. His inspiration comes from childhood memories, the people he encounters, and his travels around the world, from France and Japan to Morocco and Indonesia. At the heart of his practice is a deep belief that street art has no social barriers: everyone can participate, and everyone can experience it. For Amann, this ability to communicate directly with people through painting is the true power of street art. Throughout his career, Amann has created a diverse cast of characters, but MUTE, his latest and central character, is perhaps the most personal. Simple yet powerful, MUTE has no mouth, a visual expression of the feeling that, within society, we are sometimes left without a voice. Through MUTE, AMANN transforms silence into a visual language, inviting viewers to project their own emotions, stories, and interpretations onto the work.
